Volunteer Team
As a 100% volunteer-run nonprofit, we truly couldn’t do what we do without our volunteers! Meet the dedicated people and dogs who help bring our mission to life.

Ellie
Therapy Dog & Director of Smiles
Ellie is a 7-year-old Golden Retriever with a special gift for connecting with people, especially when they need a little extra love. She spent five years working alongside her little human in a K–8 school as a service dog trained to assist with autism-related needs, including elopement prevention.
Ellie has been part of Bailey Military Support since day one, but officially became our organization’s therapy dog in 2026, thanks to the inspiration of Lt. Sheyna Marshall and her K9 partner, Hulk, from the Fountain Police Department! Ellie and her handler, our President, Sky, are a registered volunteer therapy dog team with Alliance of Therapy Dogs.
With experience working with children, visiting hospitals, and supporting military families, Ellie now brings that same love to our monthly support groups and special events. Whether she’s making our youngest members giggle or sitting quietly beside a veteran who’s had a "ruff" day, Ellie has a way of making everyone feel a little better. She’s always happy to make a new friend, especially one willing to treat her like the princess she thinks she is!
Ellie may have four paws instead of two feet, but she’s been every member’s favorite volunteer since Bailey Military Support was founded! Although, with Service Dog Perry joining the team, she might have a little competition for that title. After all, the only thing better than one dog is two!

Justin Marshall
Mission Support Assistant
Justin and his service dog, Perry, are two of our newest volunteers at Bailey Military Support, and they’ve already jumped in with both feet and all four paws!
As our Mission Support Assistant, Justin works directly with our President as a hands-on volunteer, helping prepare for our monthly support group meetings and special events. Raised by a veteran mother and an active-duty Air Force father, Justin brings valuable insight into the experiences and needs of military children, helping us better understand and support the families we serve.
Not only does Perry bring smiles to our families with his sweet face, but he and Justin are also part of our Santa Team! Together, they help handpick special Christmas gifts for the military children we serve.

BraeLynn Coon
Community Support & Giving Volunteer
Since joining Bailey Military Support in September 2025, BraeLynn has become a dedicated volunteer, sharing her time, talents, and generous heart with our military community.
From preparing and donating homemade meals for gatherings of up to 50 people to helping with our monthly support groups, women’s gatherings, and special events, she is always willing to lend a hand.
BraeLynn dedicated over 40 volunteer hours in a single week preparing for our annual suicide prevention event, A Night of Hope 2026, assisting with setup and everything in between. She also sponsored our Honor Table by creating beautiful wooden portraits of our fallen heroes who sadly couldn’t be with us.
Through her business, Alpine Arrows Design LLC, she sponsors events and creates personalized gifts and keepsakes. She also contributes through personal donations and is currently creating some amazing personalized gifts for our women’s group that we can’t wait to share!
BraeLynn and her husband, Army veteran Jo Coon, share a passion for giving back to the military community.
BraeLynn inspires all of us to give with a cheerful heart, and we are so grateful for the love and generosity she pours into every single one of our members.
